I’ve always been interested in art works by Indonesian artist and amazed by many works they’ve created. One of these artist which I admire and definitely is worth tracking is Darbotz. His works have reached the streets of Amsterdam …! So be sure to watch out for his signature cumi-monster (CUMI stands for Squid in the Indonesian bahasa) on your streets….
As a prelude to his “monster goes out at night” exhibition this video was made..!!!!
Another pearl of luxury resorts are the Alila Villas in Uluwatu. For this project WOHA designed luxurious contemporary villa’s which are for sale, and serve as well as a fine getaway for travelers visiting Bali. A fine balance between modern details and Balinese architectural references can be seen in the villas.
A nice detail about this project is the fact that the aim was to build a resort to Green Globe certification and with Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) standards without losing the architectural vision.
